PUKKA PELLETS and ECHO raise £155 at Wembley
The results of the guess the weight of the fish competion are out which we held at Wembley Carp & Coarse show in April. We provided over £300 of fishcare and bait products to anyone guessing the correct weight. We also provided the training fish which was used by Chilly and Ben Hamilton to demonstrate proper fish care from landing to photographing your carp. The training fish was a lifelike handmade model (pictured above) made by Andy of 'Angling Creative Designs' (please contact us if you are interested in having a replica fish made for yourself as he can make anything and his work is brilliant). We had 155 Wembley visitors have a go at guessing the weight,all of which went to ECHO.
We have now been through the tickets and found that no-one guessed the right weight of the fish, which was witnessed and agreed with the ECHO team as being 28lbs 11oz. At Wembley we agreed with the ECHO lot (and strong demand from the public) that we would publish the names of any well known (and generous) anglers who on the day helped raise the cash. Here are their results (bear in mind everyone found it difficult, especially in the afternoon after some beers):
